Stephen Lee Griffin, 51, Crawfordsville, died 3:40 a.m. Friday in St. Clare Medical Center. Mr. Griffin was a Wabash College custodian. His memberships included American Legion Post 72 and Sons of the American Legion. He was born Oct. 7, 1952, at Clinton, to Jesse and Dorothy Wiggley Griffin. He married Debra Crowder on May 14, 1977, at Rockville. She survives. Also surviving are his mother and stepfather, Dorothy and Jake Johnson, Indianola, Ill.; two children, Jamie Leigh Holmes, Crawfordsville, and Billy Joe Griffin, Henderson, Ky.; two brothers, Mike, Crawfordsville, and Rick, Rockville; and two grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled 1 p.m. Monday in Brown Funeral Home, Montezuma, with Gloria Lee Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Montezuma. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
